A Small Team

A Pair of Designers

For this project I worked with just one other Developer. We shared the design work and then I did all of the art and sound while they did the programming. Working with such a small team allowed us a deep understanding of what we were working on at any time. Moving forward in larger teams I try to forge the same level of connection with the people I'm managing.

Simplicity of Design

Consistent Mechanics

When designing this game we worked to ensure that we used a single mechanic and developed it in multiple ways. The base of the game is using earlier attempts to set you up for success, and we wanted the player to always feel like that would be the answer to their problems. With this idea and some good testing, we made sure that every puzzle felt great to the player.
